We will be having the Southern Christmas meet again this year at
Chertsey Camping and Caravanning Club Site, 65-67 Chertsey Bridge Rd, Chertsey KT16 8JX
Keeping fingers crossed that the river behaves itself this year.
The meet will be from Monday 7th December for four nights
The campsite is very near junction 11 of the M25 and is not within the London ultra low emission zone. You do not need to enter the zone unless you are coming from within Greater London. It is on the river Thames just outside Chertsey, with good walks along the river.
I haven’t booked our Christmas lunch yet but am planning to book the Kingfisher pub for Wednesday 9th. The pub is very close to the campsite. We might be able to organise a trip to Hampton Court on Tuesday or Thursday. There is also a pub next door to the campsite, which is good for evening socialising.
Please book yourself on the campsite. This can be done online from the site’s webpage: Chertsey Camp Site
or by ringing the booking line on 024 7647 5426. I believe it isn’t possible to book over the phone with the site until very close to the time.
When you book please say you would like to camp with the other Murvi Club members. This is important as the camp site will then put us near to each other. If you are booking online click on the box “Vehicle Reg and Special Requests” to request this.
The price will vary depending on your age and whether you are singles or doubles. It will be more expensive if you aren’t CC & C members.
There are only hardstanding pitches available in December, and all pitches are big enough for an awning.
