At Llangollen Royal International Pavilion

Abbey Rd, Llangollen LL20 8SW

In the grounds of the Llangollen Royal International Pavilion

The cost will be £25 per night including electric hookup and exclusive use of a facilities block with toilets, showers and a meeting room.

Llangollen is beautifully situated in the Dee Valley about 30 miles along the A5 beyond Shrewsbury and the Pavilion is located close to the attractive centre of the town between the River Dee and Llangollen Canal.

There are plenty of walking opportunities and other attractions in the area including:

The world heritage listed Pontcysyllte Aqueduct which carries the Llangollen Canal over the River Dee is a 4.5 mile walk or cycle along the canal. Boat trips are available from Llangollen with a return by coach.

A walk of under 2 miles along the canal in the other direction leads to the Horse Shoe Falls, a weir created by Thomas Telford to provide water for the canal. The nearby Chain Bridge Hotel is available for refreshments.

A 1.5 mile uphill walk leads to the hilltop ruins of Dinas Bran castle with spectacular views of the surround area.

A 10 mile heritage railway runs along the Dee valley from LLangollen to Corwen with several stops on the way.

I have arranged a two-course evening meal for us in the Pavilion on Sunday 16th August at a cost of £25 per head. Menu choices, including vegetarian options, will be available in due course.

To book a place use the Murvi Club event form found here . Payment will be required later in the year. Please also indicate whether you intend to come to the meal
