We have booked 20 pitches for a four night rally from 6th September at the Camping and Caravanning Club site in Teversal, Nottingham.

The site is within easy reach of Chesterfield, which is well worth a visit. Apart from the famous twisted spire (the tour of the tower is fascinating), the town boasts a variety of interesting buildings and parks as well as a market which is one of the largest open air markets in the country.
Also a short drive away is Matlock Bath in Derbyshire, set in the beautiful gorge of the river Derwent, with riverside gardens, wooded hillsides and rocky limestone crags. A cable car takes you up to the Heights of Abraham. There are also limestone caverns to visit.

Literally across the road from the campsite is the entrance to Silverhill Woods, parkland created from old coalmining spoil heaps. Within this park is the highest point in Nottinghamshire which affords spectacular views in all directions on a clear day. The area also offers a network of surfaced woodland trails and there are off road links to the Teversal Trail Network, and on into Derbyshire and the Five Pits Trail. The whole area is criss-crossed by walking and cycling trails. Hardwick Hall (NT) is only a couple of miles from the campsite and Chatsworth House is about 20 miles by road.

The price for the meet will be £19.70 per van per night, making a total of £78.80 for the four nights, including hardstanding and electric hook-up. The Murvi Club will be collecting a deposit when we have the final numbers and the remainder will be paid to our treasurer just before we go.
