This special maritime event coincides with the 20th anniversary of Liverpool being named the European Capital of Culture, equally to be celebrated in style. You can join in the fun by booking a special celebration voyage on one of the Cunard Cruise ships… OR …you can see all by joining us for 4 nights from Monday 15 th leave Friday 19 th May at Hoylake RFU club .
There are nearby buses and trains direct to Liverpool just an half hour away or stop to take that famous “ferry cross the Mersey “ where the 4 Queens will come together.
You can also enjoy Hoylake high street which is just 5 mins away, full of shops, restaurants and bars. A bus will also take you direct to Port Sunlight . Starting at the musuem to fully appreciate the history of this stunning village which was built in 1888 by William Lever for his soap factory workers you can visit an original cottage as well as Grade II listed Arts and Crafts-style buildings and the Lady Lever art gallery(free) .
The grade 11 listed very moving war memorial of all the Lever employees killed in the first world war and which is surrounded by life size statues .
