MURVI MORELLO MANUAL FOR KIDS – AUGUST 2020
IMPORTANT DATA:

TO OPEN THE BONNET PULL THE LEVER NEAR THE PASSENGERS SEAT JUST ONCE.  YOU WON’T HEAR ANYTHING, BUT THE CATCH UNDER THE BONNET WILL HAVE BEEN SILENTLY RELEASED.  
TOOLS:  in drivers door / at back of wardrobe in a toilet bag 
FIRE:   BLANKET IN WARDROBE ON LEFT EXTINGUISHER BY PASSENGER DOOR
CAMPING KIT:  ABOVE CABIN  /   IN WARDROBE  

BEFORE SETTING OFF ON ROAD CHECK…
1] detach mains hook up 2] grey water tap under van SHUT 3] step in4] awning down 5] all windows shut 6] all 3 roof openings shut 7] all doors shut 6] pack down inside7] Gaz taps off.  (vertical)8] Fridge to battery – WEDGE DOOR SHUT! 9] open all blinds10] lower hob cover11] Charge phones using KENWOOD/GARMIN 12] CHECK UNDER VAN!!13] Retrieve wheel mats14] Retrieve wheel wedges15] check wing mirrors16] check bikes on carrier 17] on continent:  attach visibility metal square 18] Check DIESEL level19] Check LPG level – only visible when motor running 20] Check wing mirrors 

  • If motor doesn’t start, check battery level on display (over back seat)
  • If necessary use start up, external small battery device (over cabin in cardboard box)
  • Attach + first, then –  // then turn on device // start up engine 

STARTING UP…
1] Gear should be in NEUTRAL 2] Turn off lights and radio (helps start up)3] Wait for orange light to go out on starting up4] LEFT FOOT ON BRAKE5] Seat belts on6] Lights on 
DRIVING…
Automatic gear boxA = Automatic     M=Manuel    See which gear you are in near speedo 
BEWARE OF OVERHEAD BARS AT CAR PARKS !!!! YOU WILL NOT GET UNDER THEM!  
Use the wing mirrors at all time esp. when turning and overtaking.  
Give bicycles a wide birth. 
on turning Left be sure to clear kerb by making swinging out enough to right 
When overtaking be sure you can see the vehicle you have passed in your mirror before moving back in.  
Avoid narrow roads!  Watch out for low hanging branches esp. when parking up! 
Get someone to help you park up and leave well.  Open windows to hear each other.  Plan exit route.  
USE BEST DIESEL FUEL AS IT PERFORMS MUCH BETTER 
Use and LPG app to find garages supplying it.  One fill up lasts at least a week.  
Open side door to access lockable cap 

ON ARRIVAL…
1] Check you will be able to get out safely 2] Mats under wheels needed if on grass3] Wedges needed under wheels if uneven ground 4] Park in Neutral 5] Lights off6] Hand brake on 7] Change fridge to gas OR mains hook up 8] Always plug in mains hook up to van BEFORE hooking up to  source 9] Check out where you will get fresh water.  Often good to fill up on arrival at site.  
VAN AWNING…
1] Long handle and support in wardrobe2] Open in stages, pulling out top 3] Set up legs before fully open4] PEG OUT LEGS IN GRASS ALWAYS!! [pegs and mallet in driver’s door] 5] PACK AWAY awning if STRONG WIND!
FRESH WATER..
1] Use hose under back seat if possible using correct attachements from bagDo not use a garden hose as this could contain algae!2] Use green water carrier from loo to keep topped up daily.  3] Unlock with silver key 4] ONLY DRINK WATER FROM SMALL TAP AT SINK – this is purified
5] At the very end of a trip, the fresh water tank should be opened. The tap is under the van at the back. Carefully remover the blue plug and store it in near the steering wheel. The plug is needed to prevent the tap dripping.   
GREY WATER…
Tap to empty tank is under van on drivers side.  When appropriate, open tap to empty.Always shut tap when driving to avoid it hitting road.  To avoid dirty water creating fat berg in tank, WIPE OF FAT WITH KITCHEN TOWEL WHEN WASHING UP.  
FRIDGE…
*When no mains hook up USE GAS SETTING *With mains hook up USE THIS!*When driving USE BATTERY SETTING 
When very hot weather detach plates on the near side back door DO NOT OPEN THIS DOOR! Screw driver in driver’s doorStow plates under seat 
COOKING…
1] Turn on LPG – lever horizontal2] Hob cover up 3] Open roof hatch above stove and turn on fan 4] If necessary open side windows (very stiff)
5] Microwave only works with mains hook up.  Switch is above the hob to the right.  You will also see here the mainshook up light. If this doesn’t come on, report to site, as a fuse may have gone in their hook up point.  
HEATING WATER AND CABIN…
1] Controlled at lower display above bed (black) WEBASTO 2] Left round button turns on/off system3] Menu / carefully select desired option:   e.g.  heat water only;  heat cabin only;  heat water & cabin;   choose temperature of water 40c. or 70c. Select Diesel if no mains hook up Select mains hook up if available 4] Do not heat water if fresh water tank is empty!!!5] Arrows control temperature desire in cabin 
6] There is a setting to empty hot water tank completely at the end of a trip. This is important to prevent the internal tap getting scaled up.  The water comes out under the van. You will hear a little click when the hidden tap opens.  Be sure the tap has opened by sight and hearing! 
NB.  When diesel heater is on you will hear a knocking noice c.126 beats per minute. When heating on mains, you will hear another continuous sound.   
BLUE ELECTRICS PANEL (ABOVE THE BACK SEAT) …
3 buttons on left of panel display: temperature inside and outside / Battery charges / Fresh water available / Grey water level 
BATTERY LEVEL:  Battery Charge: fine / 12.3-12.5 charge is up! / 11.8-12.2 warning! / 10.5-11.3 panic!
If vehicle battery level is getting too low the van may not start up.  Drive or plug in van to mains!  The solar panel should keep the 2 leisure batteries charged up for a few days when in full use. 
4 buttons on right display:
       AUX |  O        TAP |   LIGHTS 
O =  main on switch for all electrics  (be sure to turn off at end of trip)AUX = turn on to charge phones etcTAP = turn on and leave on for taps and toilet flush to work LIGHTS = turns on light circuit 
CHARGING PHONES etc…
1] Charge phones using USB ports2] Computers can only be charged using 3 point sockets when you are have mains hook up. There are sockets behind the drivers seat, near the hob, in the wardrobe.  
TOILET …
Always pull out lever between legs first.  Then perform.Flush loo.  Remember to push in lever after a few seconds. 
Display panel above too shows when loo is nearly full and very full! EMPTY DAILY…
NO CHEMICALS ARE NEEDED AS THIS A ‘SOG’ SYSTEM with extractor fan. 
1] BLACK KEY opens hatch on side of van.  2] With one hand press down lever under canister, with other hand then gently pull out canister half way only. 3] Unplug black pipe being sure not to pull out green surround. 4] Then plug in black stopper which is attached by a string.  5] Now carefully pull canister right out of van and extend the pulling arm. 6] Empty at CHEMICAL TOILET STATION (not in their toilets)7] Be careful not to lose the black cap. 8] Half way through emptying, push in grey button to release vacuum. 9] Push back into van half way then reattach black tube fully; check that other end of the black tube is fully pushed onto its fitting in the door.10] IMPORTANT: USE SILICON SPRAY TO MAINTAIN ROUND SEAL AND TRACKS FOR GREEN PLATE 
SHOWER…
1]  Clear space of towels, loo paper, etc 2] Open plug under mat 3]Open Sky light 4] You can shower outside in certain settings.  
BED…
1] First take bedding out from under seat.  2] Pull out main seat towards the sliding door using handle.  Keep it straight. 3] Lift up corner of bed and keep pulling it upwards until the back of the seat drops down.  Then lower the corner you are holding back down again. 
1] In the morning, lift the corner again, and this time push it down, thus lifting the back of the seat. 2] Push the whole bed back in.3] Lift corner again to access storage of bedding.  
EXTRA PASSENGERS…
1]  In the short part of the L shaped seat find the metal handle which bolts the two parts of the L together.  It is on the Left.  Unscrew this completely. 2] Then pull out the double seat and manouver it round to face the front. 3] Find two bolts under the double seat. 4] Position the seat exactly so that the holes in the floor match the holes in the bottom of the seat. 5] Screw the bolts in place.6] Pull through the 3 seat belts.  7] There are 2 further seat belts on the short part of the L shaped seat.  This provides then 2 + 3 + 2 = 7 seats all facing forward in the van.

    Please bear in mind that unless your van has been re-plated to a higher weight, carrying any more than two extra adults will in all likelihood take you well above your weight limit in a fully loaded van.

      Most models do (but then every murvi is different!)
      On ours you have to lower the handbrake and pull the seat forwards to turn round; no problem if left in gear.
      The drivers seat does not turn a full 180º
